2 sticks butter (softened)
1 cup sugar
1 cup light brown sugar (firmly packed)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2½ cups oatmeal (uncooked)
1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
4 oz Hershey bar (coarsely chopped)
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 375°.
Blend oatmeal in a blender or food processor to a fine powder. Cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla, mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda. Stir in chocolate chips, milk chocolate bar, and pecans.
Roll into balls and place 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet.
Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly on baking sheets, then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
