Granny Crackers' Chocolate Chip Cookies

12 oz chocolate chips
3½ sticks butter
1½ cups brown sugar
1½ cups white sugar
4 tbsp vanilla extract
4 eggs
4½ cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 375°.

Cream butter and sugar.  Add eggs one at a time, beating well.  Stir in vanilla extract, followed by flour sifted with baking powder.  Add chocolate chips and pecans.

Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375° for 10 minutes or until lightly brown.  Remove from pan to cool.
