Chicken and Dumplings

2 lbs chicken (cubed)
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups water
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp pepper
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 egg
2 tbsp oil
1½ cups milk

Boil chicken with broth, water, and salt and pepper.  Lower heat to medium.

Mix flour, egg, and oil with 1 cup liquid from boiled chicken.

Add milk to boiled chicken.  Roll and cut dough into 1"x3" strips.  Drop into pot with chicken.

Simmer at least 15 minutes or until dumplings are fully cooked and mixture has thickened.
